GOT A QUESTION?
How does it work?
Getting a STI check has never been easier! Simply fill out a brief online questionnaire and receive a pathology request form in your e-mail. You can take that request form to any pathology lab near you to get a STI test. Once we receive the results from your pathology lab, we notify you via e-mail or phone consult.
What tests are included in a STI Screen?
STI screen includes blood & urine testing for common pathogens including chlamydia & gonnorrhoea, syphilis as well as blood borne viruses including Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV.
When and how do I receive my test results?
You should receive your results within 5 business days. Depending on your location and the lab, it can sometimes take a bit longer for us to receive your results. For instance, if you live in a regional town, your sample often has to be sent to a major laboratory for testing. Once we have received your results, you will be notified via email or phone consult.
What do I do if I don't get my results back?
If you have not received your results five days after your test, please get in touch with us and we can track down your results. Our number is +1800 181 296. Alternatively, you can send us an email at: admin@sticlinicaustralia.com.au
What if I test positive to a STI?
All positive results will receive a telehealth consultation by one of our experienced doctors to discuss further management. In some instances, like when a person tests positive to chlamydia & gonorrhoea, doctors will be able to prescribe treatment and ask you to repeat the positive test in 8-12 weeks.
If a person tests positive to a blood borne virus such as Hepatitis B / C or HIV, the treatment is often complex and requires multiple drug regimen. In such cases, we refer you to a nearby infectious disease or sexual health clinic for an in-person consultation.
How accurate are the test results?
The results are highly accurate as they are conducted by major pathology centres accredited by regulatory bodies in Australia.
Can I get a copy of my test results?
Absolutely. We will email you a copy of your results once they are back.
What is the cost of STI screening service?
The STI screening & treatment service is priced at $34.95 AUD. This fee is inclusive of testing as well as any potential Telehealth consultation that may be required if you receive a positive result.
For patients with valid medicare card, there will be NO additional cost to get tested at the pathology centre. There may be an out of pocket fee for patients who do not have a medicare card.
Are your doctors fully registered?

We exclusively collaborate with doctors who are qualified and have had appropriate training with adult sexual health. Rest assured, you will be in safe hands.
